Move-In Ready Homes FAQs
1. What does “move-in ready” mean?
Move-in ready” means the home is already built and available for immediate occupancy. You don’t have to wait on construction timelines — once your financing and closing are complete, you can move in.
2. How quickly can I move into one of these homes?
Most buyers can close and move in within 30–45 days. Some homes may even qualify for fast closings in as little as 2–3 weeks, depending on your lender.
3. Are there special incentives available on move-in ready homes?
Yes ✅. We often offer closing cost assistance, interest rate buy-downs, or upgrade packages to help sell move-in ready homes faster. Incentives change often, which is why we send you an updated list when you request it.
4. Do I need a large down payment?
Not necessarily. Many loan programs allow you to buy with as little as 3–5% down, and some special programs (like VA or USDA) offer 0% down.
5. Can I choose finishes or make changes to a move-in ready home?
Usually no — since these homes are already built, the finishes and features are set. But the upside is you get a brand-new, move-in ready home without the wait, often with upgraded features already included.
6. Are warranties included with move-in ready homes?
Yes. All new construction homes come with builder warranties covering structure, systems, and workmanship. This gives you peace of mind that major repairs are covered.
7. How do I schedule a tour?
You can click “Book a Tour” on this page or fill out the form to request a time. We host weekly Saturday community tours at 11AM and also offer private showings during the week.
8. What areas do you cover?
We feature move-in ready homes in Tallahassee, Crawfordville, and surrounding areas. Communities include Lake Mary Forest, Olson Ridge, Greystone, Wesley Park, Misting Springs, and more as new inventory is released.
9. Is buying new construction better than buying resale?
It depends on your goals, but with new construction you get:
- Lower maintenance costs
- Energy-efficient systems
- Builder warranties
- Potentially lower monthly payments thanks to builder incentives
10. How do I get the full list of move-in ready homes?
